ACCOMODATIONS & LAYOUT:
“THORR” is the only Nordhavn 50 in the world able to legally charter in all US water and territories, under a MIRAD Jones act waiver. THORR is also a unique four control station vessel, with controls in the pilot house, flybridge, port and starboard wings of the Portuguese bridge making docking a simple procedure for a cruising couple. THORR is a keel cooled, wet exhaust hybrid, discharging any soot from its 400 horse power, detuned to 250 horse power Lugger engine, at the water line not on your white upper decks.
“THORR” is a FULL walk around Nordhavn 50 with a fly bridge, bulbous bow and varnished teak interior throughout She has a two stateroom layout. The Master amid ship features a queen bed, teak finish, cedar lined locker, and private head with shower. The forward guest stateroom has a double berth and single fold down berth. The guest stateroom utilizes the head with shower located just outside the sliding teak door.
As you come into the boat from the aft deck you find the main saloon. It features an L shaped settee to port w/ a custom settee to starboard that makes into a queen bed. There is also a Pompanette high-low varnished teak dining table with folding leaves that converts to a coffee table. The flat screen TV is mounted out of sight in a custom drawer above the galley bar area. A lit wine rack also complements the salon and galley area. There are custom cloth curtains and all windows are tinted for addition comfort and privacy.
The galley features Corian countertops, with GE Profile appliances along with numerous cabinets for storage of food and galley cookware.
Moving up into the wheelhouse you find a nicely equipped navigation center along with blue leather helm seat and settee sitting area. The settee also converts into a pilot berth for long crossings. Located behind the settee is a 5 cubic foot freezer. The Pilot house control as well as the flybridge and two wing stations make running this boat both comfortable and easy for a couple with no need for additional crew or guests.
